Could you spell “Ahmadinejad” one more time?
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was sharply critical of the U.S. and our cool weapons imperialist policies during a speech in front of the United Nations Security Council.
According to Mahmoud, “the U.S. government thinks that it’s still the period after World War II…[Bush thinks he] can rule, therefore, over the rest of the world.”
Actually, we DO still live after World War II. I’m pretty sure we can’t go back.
There is something not right about this guy. He’s on the wrong side of things, to be sure (the anti-American, anti-Israeli, pro-Iranian side), but I don’t think that makes him dumb, or closed-minded. He has the courage to get up in front of the U.N. and say “bleep you, U.S.A.,” unlike Osama bin Hidin’ or Saddam Hussein. We had to pry Hussein out of a spider hole before we could get him to talk.
