Here is a big news story to wake up to:

A secret document from the French intelligence service ended up making it into l’Est Republicain, a regional newspaper, on Saturday. The report alleges that infamous al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden died in Pakistan sometime last month from typhoid. A Saudi intelligence report claims the same, although American and Pakistani intelligence cannot confirm. Likewise, French President Jacques Chirac has indicated that the report’s authenticity is questionable as well.

According to the article, the last time that American intelligence knows for sure that bin Laden was alive is June 29, 2006, when an audio tape was released to the world in which he remembered al-Qaida in Iraq leader, Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, killed during a U.S. airstrike over Iraq earlier that month.

One question popping into my mind is, “So is this guy finally dead or not?!?!” Because if he is still alive, pretty soon the world will be afflicted with the “boy who cried wolf” syndrome and no one will believe it when the truth finally does come along.
