A man with the disappointingly American name of Keith Ellison is the first Muslim to be elected to U.S. congress.
He is opposed to the war in Iraq and on his Web site, he has called “for an immediate withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq.”
“I opposed the war before it began. I was against this war once it started and I am the only candidate calling for an immediate withdrawal of troops.”
His religious message is one of inclusiveness.

The tickets for Saddam Hussein’s future hanging are sold out, signalling to me that the human race has not really evolved that far past the old ancient Roman sword-and-sandal days. Well, at least not in India, apparently.
“Saddam at the Gallows” opens on December 2 in the eastern city of Kolkata and the first 50 shows have already sold out.
“We are expecting huge profits and have requests pouring in from many states of India to stage shows,” said director Haradhan Roy.
They have a name for it!
