In the latest issue of Scientific American, Bill Gates says that robotics is on the cusp of exploding onto the cultural scene (I gots to get me some stocks!).
Said Gates:
“I can envision a future in which robotic devices will become a nearly ubiquitous part of our day-to-day lives.”
This is the guy who said computers would become commonplace before they were, who basically introduced the world to the actual, real, personal computer that you could use and have it make sense. His words carry some weight.
