Lynn Sweet in the Chicago Sun-Times had an interesting thing or two to say about Barack Obama’s shirtless photo in the recent edition of People magazine.
A barechested Obama, poised to announce a 2008 presidential run, is wearing black board shorts and shares the “Beach Babes” pages with a bevy of beautiful people — Hugh Jackman, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Alba and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
Not only that, apparently Chicagoans are gay for him:

Sure, Democrats, it’s easy when you vote on really obvious stuff.
The first item on the House Democrats’ “100 hours” legislative agenda, a measure to implement some of the recommendations of the 9/11 commission, passed on Tuesday evening.
The vote was 299-128.
Nearly 70 Republicans crossed party lines to vote for the package. It mandates full inspection of air and sea cargo entering the United States and shifts more homeland security funding to communities with high-risk terror targets.
