After Bush vetoed the Iraq spending bill from Congress that called for troop withdrawal timelines, we’re back at square one.  Here’s where we stand:
Democrats:  “We want to bring troops home!  Don’t veto this!”
Republicans:  “[Veto].  What now, sucker?”
Essentially, Republicans Bush wants any Iraq spending bill that doesn’t include troop withdrawal.  Democrats want troop withdrawal.

Edit: Looks like violence broke out at one of the demonstrations I’m talking about. The problem with “nonviolent” demonstrations is that they become “nonnonviolent” in a hurry. The key is this: demonstrations are dumb.
Yesterday, thousands of people marched right in the middle of downtown Milwaukee, holding U.S. flags and shouting “U.S.A! U.S.A!”
Without hearing about it, I would have had no idea what they were marching for. For more U.S.A, U.S.A?
Turns out it was some sort of immigration rally.
Oh.
So were they, like, for it, or against …
