I woke up today to a bright Milwaukee day, thinking “hey, my column is supposed to be in the paper today.” I walked to work, looked up the Journal-Sentinel’s website on my computer, and disappointingly didn’t see my column. Huh, I figured. They must have moved me.
Then, I was informed by an editor that the higher-ups had a problem with it, and it was yanked last-minute and replaced with Saturday’s column.
Oddly, my column featured the following quote:

It’s Friday, almost weekend time, so I thought I’d share a little wildcard post with you all.  Here are some of history’s biggest drinkers, according to Wikipedia:

John Barrymore – supposedly drank over 600 barrels of hard liquor in his day
Frank Sinatra once said “Alcohol may be man’s worst enemy, but the bible says love your enemy”.
F. Scott Fitzgerald was a total drunk – read Hemingway’s “A Moveable Feast”
Speaking of Hemingway, who was he to make fun?  He was a drunk too.
