I’m being ironic in the post title.  Fred Thompson can take his sweet time for the ‘08 election because it’s still about a year and a half away.
Still, for the first real time, it looks like Fred’s getting serious about announcing a run.
Mr. Thompson is creating a committee that will let him begin raising money towards a full-blown national campaign, supporters said today.
You don’t go around forming committees for things you aren’t really sure about, unless you’re already in office.  Zing.
