Should Al Gore Win the Nobel Peace Prize?
With suspicion that Al Gore is going to win the Nobel Peace Prize, there are a number of similarities between him and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. that bear mentioning:
- Both Gore and King have four-letter, single-syllable last names.
- Both taut moralist issues while having a history of failing at it in their own lives (King was a cheater, but at least it was unrelated to racial issues; Gore loves private jets full of stinky fuel)
- It appears that soon, both will be Nobel Prize winners.
Liberals love Gore because they think he won the 2000 election and would have taken us to the promised land instead of Iraq. They seem to compensate for Gore’s legitimate loss by giving him every award possible - Oscars, Emmys, and now the Nobel Prize.
At least, if Gore never runs for President again, he’s seeing how things work: you can ride around in big jets that oppose your global warming message and make highly disputed documentaries, and they’ll give you Oscars and Nobel prizes. Beats being President.
