Reactions from the YouTube Debate (Chuck Norris Style)
The one debate I don’t watch, and it gets the highest ratings. Ugh. You can actually watch the recent Republican debate on YouTube.
Either way, the fallout from this debate has become a story on its own, so I thought I’d post up my reactions to those:
-CNN lost a lot of credibility - sort of. Conservatives already knew it was a liberal stronghold, only it doesn’t get blasted like Fox News. When a gay general who asked the GOP candidates turned out to be connected to Hillary Clinton’s campaign, I had to ask myself: what if this happened, and the roles were reversed, on Fox News? Apparently, “fair and balanced” isn’t just a euphemism for “conservative” when it’s CNN that’s doing all the gay general planting. Of course, you won’t see Fox News do this, because they’re fair and balanced. It’s in their motto. Actually, things wouldn’t change much. People who think CNN is liberal don’t need to know they plant Hillary supporters (or their totally fake “undecided voters” with pink hair for the recent Democratic debate), and everyone else assumes Fox News is conservative anyway. So not much lost for CNN, especially when it’s easily deniable.
-Chuck Norris was in the audience. Would I be wrong in saying that his presence “loomed” over the whole stage? Everyone in my Demographic was thinking about Chuck Norris 50% of the time, I’m sure. You’re watching Tom Tancredo say something boring, and you’re just wondering, “when will they cut to Chuck Norris?” Not only that, but you can realistically make the call that if Huckabee wins Iowa and goes on to win the nomination, that Chuck Norris’ role in Huckabee’s campaign was pivotal.
-Speaking of Chuck Norris, I came up with my own “Chuck Norris fact.” Here: Chuck Norris doesn’t flirt, he takes.
-Everyone is saying Huckabee won because he stayed above the Romney/Giuliani fray. Probably right. But as Rush Limbaugh pointed out, we still have a field of Republican candidates, I’ve known about them for months now, and I’m not comfortably siding with any one of them right now, and I don’t have a “guy” yet. Most are either moderate (McCain) or liberal (Giuliani). This is just how it is.
-More original Chuck Norris facts: when Chuck Norris pees, he has to use two hands to aim.
-I can’t wait to see how many people Google Chuck Norris facts and come to this article.
-Why is Anderson Cooper so popular? I know he’s CNN’s golden boy, but is there any other reason? I’ve never talked to someone who said they liked Anderson Cooper.
-There can’t be too many gay retired brigadier generals in the world. Talk about credibility on the “gays in the military issue.” Few things are more sacred to Republican presidential candidates than current or former soldiers. However, John McCain could easily cancel that out with some hetero-veteran credibility. To me, it’s a non-issue anyway. Let them fight. I certainly won’t change my mind about a candidate if they’re “poor on the gays in the military” issue.
-Since the Republicans pander so much to liberals and moderate swing votes, why can’t I see Democrats doing this?
-True, Bruce Lee and not Chuck Norris is considered the “father of mixed martial arts.” However Chuck Norris is considered the “father of Bruce Lee.”
