Hillary, McCain Take New Hampshire
Well, two NEW people won the New Hampshire primaries, so the race is still up in the air. Politics is even more bipolar than the NFL: one day, Barack Obama looks like the black Abraham Lincoln, and the next, he’s losing to a crybaby (link) after leading in the polls. Only in America.
My question is, how come no one has mentioned that Mitt Romney has WON a caucus?
He won Wyoming on Saturday, and has the most projected overall delegates, ahead of Huckabee AND McCain, at least according to CNN.
So is there any explanation for the perception that he’s being overtaken? He’s gone 2nd, 1st, and 2nd - way better than Huckabee AND McCain, plus he’s got Michigan coming up. Silly media - the guy projected in the overall lead is perceived as having low momentum. You can’t think of a better argument for McCain and Huckabee being liberal Republicans: the media loves them!
As for the Democrats, I was really surprised to see the Crybaby win New Hampshire. Between winning Iowa and favorable polls in New Hampshire, just about everyone was ready to crown Obama the nominee. Including myself, although I stand by my prediction earlier on that he will end up beating the Crybaby.
I guess it just shows you that the polls can be flipped upside down when there’s a huge voter turnout.
That’s only in New Hampshire, though. They can talk up as many “independents” as they want - New Hampshire is simply a liberal state. They were bound to get a huge turnout, and the women especially swung things in the Crybaby’s favor.
