I’m getting pretty sick of hearing that Mitt Romney “needs” Michigan to stay in the race. Where is this perception coming from? We haven’t even hit any day with “Super” in the nickname yet.
Romney needs Michigan? Take a look at the current delegate placings:

Romney: 30
Huckabee: 21
McCain: 10
Thompson: 6

Michigan is big, but only half big this year, as they’re being penalized half their delegates.
