The left hates her.

Michelle Malkin has a column out today talking about the “Four Stages of Conservative Female Abuse.”

Liberals hold a special animus for constituencies they deem traitors. Minorities who identify as social and economic conservatives have left the plantation and sold out their people.

Cough Clarence Thomas cough! Cough conservative genius cough! Man, I have to stop typing “cough” when I cough.

The first stage of Conservative Female Abuse by the Left is infantilization. Right-wing women can’t possibly believe what they believe about the sanctity of life, self-defense, free markets, or foreign policy. They must be submissive little dolls of the White Male Hierarchy…

The second stage of CFA is sexualization. A conservative woman is not merely a sellout. She is an intellectual prostitute…

And the final stage of CFA is dehumanization. Conservative women aren’t real women according to the liberal feminist establishment’s definition. Remember when Gloria Steinem called Texas Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison a “female impersonator?”

You get it.

I don’t have to list the litany of attacks on Sarah Palin, do I? All the Republicans did with Joe Biden was introduce his gaffe clock. There’s not much to go after with Biden because he’s not exactly as exciting as Sarah Palin is. Obama didn’t need to charge his base; Obama’s already a strict liberal.

Biden rightly got blasted for being a Pro-Choice Catholic and that was it.

When the best argument against Sarah Palin that liberals have is that she’s inexperienced, when this whole election even Democrats (and even Joe Biden!) has said that Obama is unqualified - what can I say? McCain must have made a smart pick.

To the left, Sarah Palin represents exactly what they fear: an attractive woman who undermines all these absurd ideas about a woman’s “right to choose” by respecting the unborn as separate sentient beings. A “minority” (there are actually less men in the world) who rebels against the supposed liberal mastery over the victims of sexism and racism - simply by being conservative.

To liberals, conservative women and minorities are sellouts who betrayed their cause, rationalized away as puppets of the Evil White Male Conservative. Conservative minorities represent a challenge to pre-conceived notions about what women and minorities “should be.”

What could be more racist and sexist?

The reality is simply that people like Clarence Thomas and Sarah Palin are just minorities and women with certain political beliefs. Their beliefs have nothing to do with selling out or being a puppet. That the left is becoming so unhinged over McCain’s VP pick says a lot - about them.
