Palin Derangement Syndrome

17 September 2008 No Comment

“You know, the very fact that you oppose this makes me think that I’m on to something.”

-Seinfeld

Conservatives are calling it “Palin Derangement Syndrome.”  It’s how liberals react to conservatives with principles.  They get all up in a tizzy and talk about the imaginary “woman’s right to choose” and how suddenly gay people are our country’s highest priority.

Lefties have the weirdest sacred cows.

How do they hate Sarah Palin?  Let me count the ways:

  • Calling her kid retarded
  • Comparing her to Pontius Pilate
  • Lying about a pregnancy cover-up that claimed Sarah Palin’s fifth child was her daughter’s
  • Covering for Obama’s “pig” comment
  • Lying about her book-banning ways (you know, because liberals hate book-banning)
  • Piling on her what-does-a-VP-do comment, when she was actually asking about day-to-day duties
  • Calling Palin a “crazy white [bleep]“
  • They even hate her hair
  • Her good speech at the RNC was “written for her”!  You know, as opposed to most politicians…
  • Babies, Lies, and Scandal
  • Alan Colmes wondered if she took proper pre-natal care
  • Calling her a “zealot
  • Photoshopping a McCain/Palin picture giving McCain a milk mustasche saying “Got milk?”  Get it?  Because she has breasts.  But leftists aren’t sexist.
  • Saying she sounds “pro-Nazi
  • Saying she’s a sort of affirmative action pick, “like a Clarence Thomas”
  • She is “extreme” and “radical”
  • Calling pictures of her holding her youngest child “disgusting”
  • Lying about cut funding for teenage mothers in Alaska
  • Saying she can “suck it”
  • Apparently Palin isn’t even female:  “Her greatest hipocracy is in her pretense that she is a woman
  • Sarah Palin makes me sick

I don’t need to go on, do I?

The Sarah Palin VP pick has exposed a lot of things about this election.  In particular, women in politics apparently only make great accomplishments and leaps forward when they run as Democrats.

What’s especially interesting is that Palin isn’t even the Presidential nominee.  As a vice president, she’d probably have less power than a Supreme Court Justice, for example.  Yes, she’d be a heartbeat away from the presidency.

But since when do liberals care about experience for their commander in chief?
