What the Bleep, Paul Ryan?
Paul Ryan, the young conservative who I thought was going places because of his platform for entitlement reform, continues to disappoint me in regards to these bailouts going on.
If you hadn’t noticed, I crossed off Ryan’s name on my “favorite politicians” list in my About page because he voted for the megabailout.
Now, as Michelle Malkin notes, he voted for the autobailout, helping it pass in the House of Representatives:
The House tonight passed the UAW bailout bill 237-170, with 1 voting present and 26 not voting.
Here are the Republicans in the House who voted yes — 32 pro-bailout, anti-free market Republicans. Remember them:
Barton (TX)
Buyer
Camp (MI)
Capito
Castle
Ehlers
Emerson
English (PA)
Frelinghuysen
Hoekstra
Hunter
King (NY)
Knollenberg
LaHood
LaTourette
Lewis (KY)
Manzullo
McCotter
McCrery
McHugh
Miller (MI)
Murphy, Tim
Porter
Ramstad
Regula
Rogers (MI)
Ryan (WI)
Smith (NJ)
Souder
Upton
Walsh (NY)
Young (AK)
Since Ryan voted for the earlier bailout, I scanned the list hoping his name wasn’t there. It was, as you can see I bolded.
