Michael Steele Messed Up
Michael Steele fell for what James T. Harris called the CNN black trap and argued with D. L. Hughley – D.L. HUGHLEY! – about who’s the leader of the Republican Party. In doing so, he also tried to dismiss Rush Limbaugh.
“Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer,” Steele said during an interview Saturday night with CNN’s D.L. Hughley. He then referred to the right-wing hero’s popular radio talk show as “incendiary” and “ugly.”
Here’s the video:
I don’t really think Michael Steele meant to go out and try to throw Rush under the boss, but he seemed to fall back on that old trick when pressured a bit by…D.L. Hughley!
Later, Steele apologized, showing that Rush is indeed more popular amongst conservatives than this “de facto” leader of the Republicans. And when one man refuses to compromise his principles and another breaks under questioning on CNN, it’s not tough to see why who apologized to whom.
