Hot off the presses: Rush Limbaugh has signed a new contract through 2016 worth around $400 million. I don’t even want to know what the taxes on that are.
Rush’s new contract makes him a vastly superior earner to even the highest paid news anchors on network television, which got me to thinking: why does conservatism rule talk radio with an iron fist?
I’m not sure that there are actually more conservatives out there than liberals – after all, almost every Presidential election in recent memory seems to show that …

Rush Limbaugh is making news, which means something controversial is happening:
The top Democrat in the Senate slammed Rush Limbaugh Monday over his recent controversial “phony soldiers” remark, despite the conservative talk-radio host’s protests that his words have been taken out of context.

Conservative talk show host Rush Limbaugh said his comments were taken out of context.

Limbaugh’s comments in question came Wednesday when Limbaugh and a caller were discussing critics of the Iraq war:
“What’s really funny is, they [Iraq war critics] never talk to real soldiers,” the caller said. “They like …

It looks like Don Imus is getting a two-week suspension (or, in corporate speak, an “unprecedented vacation”) for calling the Rutgers Women’s Basketball team a bunch of “nappy-headed ho’s.”
NBC is self-reporting, releasing a story that Imus will be taken off the air for those two weeks as well. No more Imus in the morning for those of you who can’t wake up without a cup of Imus.
Barack Obama, who will be asked about everything involving black people from now until he dies, said this:

Rush Limbaugh pulled zero strings and got Vice President Dick Cheney on his program, where Cheney took up his usual position of Bush’s attack dog.  Some highlights for you.
On the Dems’ strategy for Iraq:
Rush:  Is this what they [Democrats] really intend: to lose this war, to make sure we come home defeated?
Bulldog:   I do believe that a significant portion of the Democrats — including, I think, Nancy Pelosi — are adamantly opposed to the war and prepared to pack it in and come home in defeat, rather than put in place or …

I’m a huge Beatles fan. As a consequence, I have every Beatles album from Rubber Soul on, which covers most of their best stuff.
One of my favorite things when I first got into the Beatles was figuring out who wrote what. Part of me thinks that music should be as competitive as sports, so I liked to pit the Beatles against each other. “Wow, George really came through with Taxman. Can Paul follow it? Uh oh, he’s pulling out Eleanor Rigby!”
So it got me to thinking. …

According to lots of sources, including the Huffington Post and Drudge, Air America is set to file bankruptcy. I know what you’re thinking: “again? Isn’t Air America already dead?”
Of course, Air America is already denying such bold claims, saying there’s been no plans to file bankruptcy…even though they sorta mighta have let some people go this past Monday.  But, according to Air America supahstar, Al Franken:
“There have been cash-flow problems. I haven’t been paid in a while. Like, there’s no cash flowing to me.”
Yeah, that’s a cash flow problem.  What doesn’t make sense to me …
