In my series “If I Ruled America,” I’ve already talked about what kind of country I’d like to see. So far I’ve covered the overview of my government and what kind of foreign policy that government would have.
If I Ruled America: Foreign Policy
If I Ruled America: Preamble
Now, I will talk about what I think is another aspect of defense, a subcategory of “military” that I think the government can claim to be responsible for: infrastructure.
Fascists can get the trains running on time; unfortunately, they’re also fascist. …

A while back, I wrote the Preamble to “If I Ruled America,” in which I described my philosophy of what the government should be, and what I would implement if I were in charge.  I said I’d take it into more detail, so here’s my take on foreign policy.
If you read the long Preamble, then you’d be aware of the fact that one of the few responsibilities my government would hold be to protect our citizens’ liberty.  In foreign policy, this is an interesting distinction.  I didn’t say “anyone else’s” …

Here’s taking a bite out of crime:
Under [a new] plan, the [Baltimore] mayor could declare “public safety act zones,” which would allow police to close liquor stores and bars, limit the number of people on city sidewalks, and halt traffic during two-week intervals.
This is awesome.  Those of you who know me know that I’m generally small government – which is true – but if we’re going to spend money on something useful, let’s spend it hard.

I’ve never done it and I never plan to, but that doesn’t mean I don’t think people should be able to. The United States is already legally doped up on TV, caffeine, sugar, nicotine, fast food, and – by far the worst – alcohol. Marijuana would not …

“Moderates.” They’re some of the most annoying people to have to argue with.
They claim to have an open mind about everything, which is why they became “moderate” and “independent” of political bias, and then trash you because YOU don’t have an open mind.
Wouldn’t a truly open-minded person say “Hey, you could be right!” no matter what you argued?
But moderates don’t do that, do they?
True moderates would resemble Agnostics sooner than they would resemble the hippie, moral-Coffee-drinking, Academic mammajammas they actually are.
You see, Agnostics say “Hey, I don’t know if there …

This is the first edition of a new category I’m placing on BipolarNation.com called If I Ruled America.
I’m not going to walk around with signs protesting like an idiot. I’m going to put what I want in clear writing and publish it online.
With “If I Ruled America,” I’m not going to pre-suppose I was president – everything’s going to be done my way. I couldn’t get anything like what I’m about to propose done if I wasn’t an absolute dictator. I don’t need a pesky Congress filled …
