Good people of BipolarNation,
You may have noticed this already, but the BipolarNation.com Political Forums are down. I’m pretty sure I know what the problem is, and if I’m correct, it will be fixed by tonight.
I’ll make it up to you with three awesome posts on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Last year at this time, we celebrated the first birthday of the young BipolarNation. Today is not only St. Patrick’s Day, but BipolarNation’s second birthday, the domain having been registered by me on March 17th, 2006.
I won’t go into the detail I did last year, but here are some highlights of the past 12 months […]
I’ve disabled the comments for blog posts at BipolarNation.com. I did it for two reasons:
I have comments set to “moderate” so that I don’t get spammed. This means I have to delete tons of spam comments. The most recent batch included about 200 spam comments - needless to say, it was not fun.
I post most […]
I’m back in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel today, probably my last time as community columnist. Here you go:
Five thousand people throughout the massive conference room faced the stage. I listened as Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” spoke in full “rich man” gear: a pinstripe suit, a watch he probably had to pay interest […]
As my regular readers probably noticed, the site was down for about half the day today. I recently switched to a new credit card number, and the automatic billing got screwed up. BipolarNation is back and fresh as a daisy now. Our apologies!

A few days ago, the second edition of my book, Beyond Majors and G.P.A.: A Real Philosophy for College and the World Ahead, was published by iUniverse.
I’d like to extend thanks to BipolarNation’s chieftain, Dan Kenitz, for the new Foreword he contributed to the book; to Amy Simmert, who took time out of her busy schedule […]
Today I got my first AdSense check from Google in the mail, and officially the first money I earned off the internet. It’s pretty cool to go out and buy groceries with money that came FROM THE INTERNET, so I thought I’d post the fruits of our labor for all to see:
The best item: A […]
Only a couple months back or so, BipolarNation was ranked in the 40s on Google for the search term “Political Forums.” After looking up the same term, I am pleased, very pleased, to announce that we have moved up to page 3 and the 26th slot!
On behalf of Dan, Phil, and myself here at BPN, […]
As this is posted, I’m actually on a train to Red Wing, Minnesota, on route to go up north in Wisconsin for several days. My blogging software - Wordpress - allows me to write posts ahead of time and schedule them to be posted, so I’m actually writing this on Monday.
Because I’ll be up […]
Phil Burghgraef, a good friend of Dan and I from our college days, has launched his own blog called Philmreview, dedicated to, you guessed right, film reviews.
Check it out at: http://www.philmreview.blogspot.com
Phil is an occasional contributor to the message boards here at BipolarNation, and is the talent behind the original political cartoons you see on this […]
